Take Stock in Children
Served as Executive Director of the Duval County program for 13 years, transitioning it under the Goodwill of North Florida umbrella in 2014, where it remains today. During that time, the high school college-readiness program expanded to include support through students’ first year of college — the most critical transition point for participants.
A College Navigator embedded at FSCJ and UNF became the catalyst for more than doubling the post-secondary graduation rate for Take Stock Scholars. The Duval program remained the second-largest in the state, and Goodwill and the Take Stock in Children state office subsequently awarded oversight of two additional counties to Goodwill. Secured private, corporate, and public funding to support the program’s growth, with annual funding exceeding $500,000.
