Let Us Play! Junior 2K
After the camp’s sixth year, Leah’s team created the Let Us Play Junior 2K, Jacksonville’s first children-only fun run of its kind. Held inside the Jaguars’ stadium, the two-kilometer run drew more than 3,000 young participants each year.
Each year began with a three-day children’s expo in the stadium’s West Club, where families could register, pick up race packets, and explore resources and products focused on children’s health and well-being. Duval County Public Schools supported the event, and the school with the highest participation won a cash prize for its athletics program.
A 30-minute TV special aired the morning after the run, generating sponsorship revenue through sold ad space. All proceeds supported the endowed University of North Florida scholarship for camp participants.
